Popular DJ commits suicide at radio station

Alex Murimi Nderi, also known as DJ Lithium, a prominent Kenyan music jockey and Capital FM turntablist, has reportedly committed suicide

According to several media accounts, the disc jockey committed suicide at the station's Nairobi offices after taking poison.

Nderi's coworkers claimed to have discovered him unconscious minutes after ingesting the poison.

DJ Lithium was transported to Nairobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medics.

Prior to committing the act, Nderi allegedly took down his social media profiles and composed a suicide note, which his coworkers revealed will only be read by his family members.
