According to a Daily Trust source, security agents traded blows when President Muhammadu Buhari was launching Kawo bridge in Kaduna city on Thursday, causing chaos
Buhari is currently in Kaduna, where he is putting the finishing touches on projects overseen by Governor Nasir El-Rufai.Kafanchan, Kaduna, and Zaria are the locations of the projects.
The president commissioned the Kawo bridge shortly after his return from Kafacnchan.
A disagreement between security personnel connected to the president and those located in Kaduna, however, led to blows being exchanged.
Soon after the president mounted the bridge, some men from the Department of State Services (DSS) blocked the road to Kawo bridge.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who had exited his car earlier, joined the president's motorcade on the way to the bridge.
After El-Rufai and the president were on the bridge, security agents sealed the road, which had previously been closed to media and other dignitaries.
The governor's official vehicle, however, must be permitted entrance, according to El-Aide-De-Camp Rufai's (ADC).
According to the Daily Trust, the president's security aides stayed firm, resulting in not just a confrontation but a physical altercation.
The governor's vehicle was eventually granted access.
