An argument-settling man was fatally stabbed

Sunday Orishagbemi, 39, was fatally stabbed on Friday while attempting to mediate a fight between two men about urinating in the Zango Daji Quarters of the Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State

The tragedy began on Friday evening at Ganaja junction in Lokoja when a friend of the deceased, a vulcanizer, branched to urinate close to a building owned by one of the residents of the quarters. This has been confirmed by the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Ovye Ayah.

An eyewitness claimed that the building's owner disputed the activity, which led to a fight between them.

The deceased entered to resolve the argument between his friend and the boy since he was concerned about the situation.

A knife was allegedly pulled out during this time by the home's owner's son, who then fatally stabbed Orishagbemi.

The victim was killed in Okada Park at Zango Daji, according to Ayah, who verified the incident in an interview with journalists in Lokoja on Saturday. She also added that the suspect had been detained by police for questioning.

As soon as the case's investigation is over, he assured, the suspect will be charged and arraigned in court.
