Samora's traditional leader, Oba Matthew Idowu Ajiboye, has been brought before the court
The monarch was docked on Wednesday over an alleged attack on Alhaji Maroof Afolayan Adebayo, the Oloba of Eju Land, at his palace in the state's Irepodun Local Government Area. According to the police investigation, Oba Ajiboye attacked Oloba and his family with lethal weapons with Tijani Musibau, Kuburat Sodiku, Afolayan Sukiru, Usman Raufu, Tunde Arinwoye, and Saheed Bello, who is still at large.
According to the police complaint, Oloba and his family members suffered severe injuries during the attack, and valuables like cash in both local and foreign currencies were stolen.
Seun, the prosecutor, notified the court that the case is still being investigated and requested a postponement.
The case was heard by Magistrate Badmus, who gave the defendant bail in the amount of N500,000 with two sureties.
The hearing on the subject was postponed until September 24, 2022.
