19-year-old Nigerian wins Bronze at the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games

Team Nigeria's Islamiyat Adebukola Yusuf won a bronze medal in the current 2022 Commonwealth Games

After Maude Charron (Canada) and Cochrane Sarah (Australia), who took first and second place, respectively, she placed third with a total lift of 212KG.

Cochrane's 216KG combined lift was sufficient for the Silver medal, but Charron's 231KG combined lift, which set a new Games Record, won him the gold.

Nigeria earned two gold medals and a third bronze in the weightlifting competition before winning the bronze medal on Monday.

Nigeria has won all of its medals thus far in weightlifting.
