Kim Kardashian donates 1000 pairs of shoes

Reality star has donated 1000 pairs of shows for charity

Kim Kardashian took to twitter that to announce that she and Kanye west have decided to donate 100 pairs of shoes to the girl who is trying to collect them for charity purpose.

Kansas teen Amelia Flores, according to Dish Nation, is working with Soles4Souls organization to collect 2,000 shoes. The group, which donates shoes to those in need, helped Flores' extended family during Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and she wants to give back.

On Thursday December 10, Kim tweeted while breastfeeding and watching the show Dish Nation, where the story of 17-year-old Kansas teen, Amelia Flores, touched her heart.

"I'm up breastfeeding & watching this show Dish Nation," she shared on her timeline. "I heard the cutest story of a girl who is trying to find 1,000 pairs of shoes to donate to this charity [Soles4Souls]! They helped her during Hurricane Katrina."

She then joked, "I think I know the designer of Shoe of the Year Award!" referring to 'Ye.

At the time of broadcast, Amelia had gathered nearly 1,000 pairs, and Dish Nation challenged viewers to help her collect the final 1,000 before Dec. 18.

"Kanye and I would love to donate those 1000 shoes to Soles For Souls," Kardashian West, 35, wrote on Thursday. 

Kardashian West added that she was attempting to find Flores online but hadn't yet been successful.

Flores heard Kardashian West's calls and seemed surprised at the star's donation.

"I really hope Kim k is talking abt me," she tweeted on Thursday morning.

Dish Nation was quick to respond to the 17-year-old, writing back "SHE IS!!!"

Flores has now expanded her search after finding out that she can travel with Soles4Souls to distribute the shoes if she collects 25,000 and asked her social media followers to help her toward the goal.
