Headless corpse discovered at prayer mountain

Well this is one mystery yet to be unraveled

The residents of Amese in Akure, capital of Ondo state are still in shock after an headless body of a full grown man beside a prayer mountain was discovered late last week.

Punch Metro reported that nobody could attest to when the unidentified person was murdered but the incident was discovered on Thursday by worshippers who went to the mountain to pray.

The matter was immediately reported to the nearest police station, and it was also gathered that residents have fled from their homes due to unlawful and indiscriminate detainment by the Nigerian police since the incident occurred.

“After the matter had been reported at the Ijapo Police Station, the policemen combed the entire area, arresting residents indiscriminately. Those that went to report at the police station were also detained by the police. The police said the arrest of the people was part of their investigation.” Says a resident.

Confirming the incident by the Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, Mr. Femi Joseph he said full investigation was ongoing to find out who might have carried out such a horrible act, he also denied the arrest of residents indiscriminately.
