Spanish couple lives in abandon village for 45 years

A Spanish couple has been reportedly living alone in an abandoned village for the last 45 years, but still refuse to move out

Imagine a world without technology or electricity and your only companion if your partner and 2 dogs, how long do you think you could live under such condition?

Well, a couple has been living in an abandon village for the past 45 years as reported by CCTVNews.

With the closest inhabited town at least 25 kilometers away, Martin and Sinforosa Colomer have been the only two residents living in La Estrella, an abandoned village in Spain, for the past 45 years.

Records show that the ancient place used to be bursting with life.

However, after some fatal natural disasters, the village gradually lost its attractions, and its population greatly dwindled after it.

The Colomers raised a family in La Estrella, and chose to stay even when many of their fellow villagers left for cities in search of work.

With their only daughter dead, the couple stayed in the village by themselves.

“Because my wife was born in this place, she has always lived here. She doesn’t want to leave. Had it been up to me, we would have left the town a long time ago. But I can’t leave her by herself. What else can we do?” Martin said.

The two now live a pristine life without a phone, television, electricity, or water.

They have an old car to take them to the nearest town once in a while, and occasionally some visitors will also come during the weekends.
