American artists are known to bet virtually on any big sporting event; well things didn’t go as planned this time around for Jay Z
As reported by TMZ, Jay Z reportedly paid $100,000 to former pro boxer Oscar De La Hoya after losing a boxing related bet.
The hip hop mogul, Jay Z, bet De La Hoya $100,000 that Miguel Cotto (of Roc Nation Sports) would beat boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez during their match this past weekend.
Unfortunately for Jay Z, Alvarez won, which means Jay had to hand over the cash… but the good thing is he kept to his word!

TMZ confirms that the '99 Problems' rapper paid up immediately.
De La Hoya told the site that he received the money and put it toward helping people at a Los Angeles hospital.
"Thanks to Jay Z, thousands of patients at White Memorial Medical Center will also be winners," he told TMZ. "I don’t imagine [Jay's] excited about losing $100,000, but he can take some comfort in knowing that it’s going to a good cause."
So basically, everyone's a winner here.
