Man dies in hotel room after checking in with a lady

A young man has been declared deceased after checking into a hotel room with a young lady in the Ada-George axis of Port Harcourt in the Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, in what would come across as a very terrible development

The man, whose name has yet to be determined, died in a hotel in the early hours of Wednesday, according to reports.

A hotel visitor who did not want his name used said that around 2 a.m., the lady who checked in with the deceased raced to the front desk and reported that the man she had arrived with had slumped.

According to the eyewitness, the hotel manager and security guys came out and transported the man to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to hotel sources, the lady informed them that the deceased had allegedly taken a locally manufactured concoction known as manpower at a local joint on Tuesday night before checking into the hotel with her.

Meanwhile, the manager and the lady have been held, according to a senior official from the Rumupakani police station.

The matter will be forwarded to the State Criminal Inquiry and Intelligence Department for additional investigation, according to the police official.
