In order to inherit his father's properties, a 25-year-old guy stabbed him to death
Abubakar Muhammed, who was apprehended by Niger State police, murdered his father, Buba Muhammad, and dumped his body in a sack. The incident occurred near Minna, Niger State, in the Gidan Madara area.
Abubakar allegedly attacked and stabbed his father to death at his home in Korokpan community in Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State on October 13, 2021, according to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun.
The statement went on to say that the suspect plotted to assassinate the dead with Aliyu Muhammad, a 26-year-old man who is still on the loose.
The suspect took cops to Tagwai-Dam, where the deceased's body had been abandoned after being put in a sack.
He revealed that he hired Aliyu for a price of N110,000, with a N50,000 deposit and the remaining N60,000 paid after selling some of the deceased's properties.
The suspect stated that he committed the act in order to inherit the deceased's assets.
The State Criminal Investigations Department is looking into the matter. Once the inquiry is completed, the culprit and his accomplice will be charged in court.
