A 21-year-old lady is on the run after stabbing her two children on Sunday afternoon in Kianjogo village in Kahuro, Kenya, killing one of them instantly
Nancy Munjiro, a 21-year-old single mother of two boys, ages 4 and 2, turned the knife on her children at their grandmother's house, spilling their guts before trying suicide, which stunned the community. Ms. Lucy Muthoni Kimani, the local assistant chief, told detectives that Munjiro, a househelp in Kahuro's Kiriaini district, had visited her mother (who resides with the two children) over the holiday season and had yet to return to work for unclear reasons.
As she stepped out of her house in the morning, the grandmother of the kids hoped for a lovely bonding moment between mother and sons, but it turned out to be the darkest day of her life.
Her house had been turned into a murder scene, with her youngsters drenched in blood and sprawled on the floor when she returned.
Unfortunately, the two-year-old had already passed away, but the older boy had a weak pulse. In bad condition, he was transported to Muriranjas hospital before being moved to Murang'a County hospital.
Police investigating the incident discovered a rope dangling from the roof, leading them to believe the criminal tried suicide before deciding on her heels.
