According to eyewitnesses, the brawl broke out after the deceased's family requested that their daughter be buried at her partner's land because he had not paid her dowry.
After both families were unable to reach an agreement, a battle erupted.
According to @iamjoseh_, a wife in Luhya country, Kenya, is not buried in her husband's property if the dowry has not been paid.
